Grant and Funding Research Intern

About the Role

  • 20 hrs/week
  • Unpaid, 6 month program
  • Fully remote
  • Operations team
  • OPT/CPT eligible
  • Commit to weekly 90-minute company meetings (PST): Monday & Friday @10am
  • Commit to weekly 60-minute meetings (PST): Monday @3:00pm Operations Team Standup, Tuesday @1:00pm Operations Alignment Sync, Thursdays @12:00pm Grant writing sync

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with PROJXON’s mission and programs
  • Assist in preparing, writing, and submitting grant proposals and supporting documentation
  • Develop and maintain grant budgets, reporting schedules, and compliance documentation
  • Track grant deadlines, expenditures, and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with Operations and Business teams to ensure accurate grand management
  • Support post-award reporting and monitoring activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field (or currently pursuing)
  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred skills

  • Experience with grant writing or nonprofit fundraising
  • Familiarity with grant databases or funding portals
  • Basic understanding of budgeting and financial tracking
  • Experience with documentation management and reporting
  • Interest in nonprofit operations, social impact, or program development
