About the Position
We’re excited to launch the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner’s Internship Program and are looking for motivated college students and recent graduates who are interested in finance, accounting, risk management, insurance, or government work to join our Company Supervision Division’s Financial Analysis team.
As an Administrative Intern I, you’ll support our team of financial analysts who monitor the financial health of insurance companies operating in Washington State. This is a great opportunity to learn how financial regulation works in a real-world setting.
This internship will focus primarily on entities licensed to issue charitable gift annuities (CGAs). You’ll help the team by reviewing and organizing financial filings and regulatory documents submitted by licensed CGA entities programs, and by assisting with tracking whether those filings meet state requirements.
In this role, you may:
- Help review financial reports, audits, and other documents
- Organize and track financial and regulatory information
- Assist with summarizing information to support team reviews
You may also get some exposure to the division’s broader work overseeing insurance companies, giving you a better understanding of how financial oversight helps protect consumers.
This internship is a great starting point if you’re interested in careers in accounting, finance, auditing, economics, insurance, or public service.
This recruitment may be used to establish a qualified pool of candidates for Administrative Intern I vacancies in the next sixty days.
This is a non-perm/ temporary position lasting 12 weeks, with an expected schedule of 20-25 hours per week.
This is a Washington General Service position. The hourly range for this position is $19.64 – $23.67.
